Name: LuLaRoe with Karinne Culley Location: Indiana Style: Flattering, Comfortable, Versatile Prices: $25 and up Shipping: 1 items = $3, 2+ items = $4, or free shipping over $100 Social: Facebook Group Well, ladies, I finally drank the LuLa KoolAid, and now I get what all the fuss is about. I’ve since joined 200+ LuLaRoe Consultant Facebook Groups, searching for the patterns that make my heart sing and entering giveaways. Can you say addict? I am not a leggings girl, so I think that’s why I resisted for so long. But, LLR also has some fantastic tees that I’m obsessed with (Irma and Randy are my personal faves). And thanks to Karinne, I’m hooked on the dresses. Basically all of the styles are great. I’ve never been one to wear sets or the same brand from head to toe. For me, it’s all about mixing and matching. LuLaRoe provides some great pieces that layer well and are easily incorporated into the closet you already have. Or if you like shopping for outfits in one place, you can do that, too. The line is extremely versatile. The fun (and addicting) part of LuLaRoe is never knowing what prints will show up. If you see something you like, grab it quickly because everything is limited edition. Karinne’s Facebook Group has new inventory every Thursday at 7pm CST. What’s cool about LuLaRoe is that you can support multiple consultants because no two consultants will have the same inventory and prints. Since Karinne introduced me to LLR in August, I’ve shopped with consultants locally as well as nationally. It’s a pretty neat business model. Here’s what Karinne has to say about her business. Why did you start selling LuLaRoe? I started because I saw people online falling in love with the clothes and knew that it would be huge hit in my hometown, where it had not hit yet. It didn’t hurt that I flat out loved the fit and the patterns of the clothes!! What is your favorite style? My favorite style is the classic t…because you can dress them up or down so easily, and the fit is just amazing. What is your personal unicorn? (A unicorn is that elusive print that you just can’t get your hands on.) I’m a total Star Trek/sci-fi nerd, so the space leggings are my number 1 unicorn! My other unicorns include the raccoons and literally the unicorn leggings! If you have no idea what LuLaRoe is, take a look at the website to learn more about the company and see the styles available. Otherwise, let’s dive on in. First up, is my fave, Irma. Karinne sent this gorgeous Irma in an XXS, a size I’ve never worn in my life. At first, it was a little tight on my arms, but it stretches. I love this pattern so much, and the colors are two of my favorites. My favorite thing about Irma is the longer length aka “butt coverage”. I also have a few Irma’s in XS, and the sizing comes down to the fabric. Ask your consultant to be sure, but I definitely recommend sizing down at least two sizes in this. Next up, meet Maxi. Maxi dresses and skirts have always been a favorite of mine for two reasons. First, they feel like pajamas. Second, leg shaving is not required. Once again, the colors and pattern on this are gorgeous. I’m wearing a small here, but could probably size down to an extra-small if I wanted to wear this as a dress. The small is not too tight on my hips and fits well on my waist, even though I’m normally a medium. Stay tuned for a future post on more fun ways to style Maxi. Similar Items: Tee, Belt, Necklace, Bag, Shoes
Oh, Amelia. This is a style that I thought would be too dressy for me. I rarely dress up because I feel so uncomfortable, but that has changed since meeting Amelia. This dress feels fantastic. I’m wearing a medium here, but could also size down to a small. Amelia has a zipper back and POCKETS. That is a huge selling point for me. The fabric on this one is substantial – not the t-shirt material I expected it to be. My brain is spinning with so many different ways to style this one. Stay tuned for yet another follow-up post on ways to style Amelia. Similar items: Denim Jacket, Belt, Shoes
Now for the controversial part. Are leggings pants? That is the question. I’m still a firm believer that leggings are not pants. I know most of the female population will disagree with me, but to each her own. I found the perfect top for my optimal coverage level. I ordered this Caslon sweatshirt from Nordstrom during the Anniversary Sale and love it with my new one-size floral leggings. These leggings really are buttery soft, and the colors will be great for fall. I can see myself wearing this to run errands or drop the kids off at practice. It’s an easy look to throw on and go. Love that! Similar Items: Sweatshirt, Necklace, Boots
Last up, we have Carly! This is a dress I never would have picked out for myself. Ever. But it is becoming one of my favorites. It’s so comfortable and easy to wear, yet my kids still ask why I’m all dressed up. This is an XS, and I’m normally an 8/medium. I could probably even wear an XXS, but the front length might be too short for this tall girl. Moral of the story….size down. I styled Carly three different ways for you. I also want to try her with leggings this winter and maybe even knotted like I’ve seen all over Pinterest. Carly, you are wonderful. Similar Items: 1. Belt 2. Scarf, Boots 3. Denim Shirt, Booties
